It has been a busy week! Last Sunday we had 2 birthday parties. Ryan's was at noon and Ella's was at 2.
Libby loved the cake and ice cream. Usually Kolbe and Libby aren't cake eaters.
They were so good while Ella opened her gifts. Kolbe picked up all of the wrapping paper and put it in a trash bag. On the way out the door he noticed all of the empty cardboard boxes and asked if they would be recycling them. He decided it was his job to bring them home to make sure they didn't trash the landfill.
While Ella opened her gifts Libby "wrote down" what she got. Periodically she would make a call on her cell phone.
This is Libby's idea of a tea party. She used a roadway as her tablecloth.

The Thanksgiving Clan just keep getting bigger. Plus there are at least 2 more additions coming next Thanksgiving. I say at least because who knows who else could become pregnant in the next few months...

Jeff and the kids raked the leaves this morning. They had a great time doing canonballs and hiding in the huge piles. Kolbe has a sticker on from getting his flu shot. We hadn't mentioned where we were going this morning, but as soon as we pulled into the lot he said, "Were going here to get our flu shots aren't we?" He wasn't too excited, but asked to get his before Libby. He didn't make a peep. Later he said it hurt a little bit. Libby just said, "Ouch" and made a face.
Kolbe's last soccer class is today. He says it's on to swimming lessons now. We'll see...

HAPPY VETERAN'S DAY!!! The kids wore their red white and blue today. Kolbe took patriotic pretzels to his classmates and gave a little presentation in honor of his dad. We took this picture with dad right before going to bed.

Kolbe got his face painted at his preschool auction/party Friday night. He said he picked a pirate, but honestly I didn't hink he knew what a pirate was. Notice the earring. He wore it to soccer practice yesterday morning. Luckily it got lost or who knows how long he would have had an earring.

They are here again... Extreme Makeover Home Edition. Though it was extremely chilly, Kolbe wanted to go see the action this morning. We were the first spectators there. Kolbe and Dad went yesterday afternoon for a while...until it got too cold. Kolbe got to see the crane lifting and moving beams to set them in place. There was a forklift and backhoe constantly in motion and of course the cement mixer was working hard.
Libby got to see all of these things too whether she wanted to or not.

Since we missed Kolbe's friend Matthew's birthday party we decided to celebrate a bit later. We took over donuts and had a mini-celebration. The kids all got to blow out candles, several times. Tanya had bought trick candles that relight themselves after they have seemingly been extiguished. After the birthday breakfast, we played outside it was COLD! Of course the kids didn't notice the temperature. They were too busy having a ball. There are horses in the field behind the house so the kids got an up close view.
The girls love swinging.
Where is my picture of the birthday boy? Shame on me.

Better late than never... A couple of weekends ago we went to a pumpkin patch. The kids got to go on a horsedrawn hayride. There were a lot of games for them to play with the other kids.

Kolbe enjoyed the coen maze.

We all picked out pumpkins. Hopefully these won't get eaten by the squirrels!
They fished for ghosts and pumpkins. Yay Kolbe caught a goblin.
