Hooray, Dad is back home to stay! Looks like Libby remembers her daddy.
Kolbe's HUGE smile could not be wiped off of his face. :)

Jeff should be coming home tomorrow. He just emailed and said he needs to set up a flight and he'll be on his way! YAY! :)

Kolbe was a little attached to the present we picked out for his friend Matthew's birthday party. He said "If Matthew doesn't like the bug vacuum can I have it back?"
The party was at a dinosaur themed restaurant. There was a HUGE moving dinosaur right inside the door. Kolbe was a little leary of it, but felt safe taking a picture by the dinos little babies. He did keep one eye on the big dinosaur almost the entire time.
The kiddos stopped for a quick pic. Kolbe couldn't put down his drink. He ordered himself a Shirley Temple. :)

We're so excited that Dad is finally back in the states! :)

Our annual autumn pictures in front of our neighbor, Leslie's house. Didn't take them long to play with the decorations.

Yesterday Kolbe decided he wants to be Bob the Builder for Halloween. He wants Libby to be Wendy, Bob's assistant. These will be easy costumes! :) Kolbe did some "research" to find out what we need for his Bob costume. As soon as he decided to be Bob, he immediately went to get his Bob the Builder book to see what he needed for his costume. He has the overalls, an orange shirt, and the work boots. He is very adamant that Bob has a tool belt AND hardhat but Wendy ONLY has the toolbelt. Originally he had wanted to be Elmo, but we tried on an Elmo costume and he thought he looked funny. Although he still LOVES Elmo he quickly changed his mind on being Elmo for Halloween.

These two kiddos LOVE to be outside. Last week when it got chilly we went to the park to feed the ducks and then play. Kolbe is getting so brave lately. He climbed pretty high on the rockwall. When you push him on the swing he screams "Higher, higher!" In the past he has always been very cautious swinging, "Not too high, I might fall out."
Libby's favorite thing to do at the park, slide.
Kolbe's first time swinging on the big boy swing. They are pretty high off the ground to begin with. Usually when he has wanted me to lift him into these swings, as soon as I do he wants to get down. This time he even wanted me to push him high on the big boy swing. He usually goes on the baby bucket-type swing, or the little tykes baby swing (for up to 3 year olds.)

Libby is on the run. Whenever we are outside and I say it is time to go back in, she takes off running the other direction. Yesterday when I gave notice, she ran to her kiddie car, jumped in and tried to take off. Of course she can only go backwards in it and doesn't get too far too quickly. ;)I think Kolbe is really starting to get excited about Dad coming home. He has been so happy recently. I noticed a huge change in personality last time when Jeff was due home for his leave. Kolbe was just giddy when Jeff got here. That is not his usual demeanor by any means. Don't get me wrong, Kolbe is a very content and happy little boy, but he definitely has become more outwardly happy the closer we get to Dad's arrival back home.
