Kolbe's structure. The picture does not fully show the "genius" of his design. He set up two of his cones (barely noticeable in the picture.) Then he somehow figured out how to balance, unassisted, an eight foot board across the top of the cones. He placed a shorter board on the top of the eight foot board and finally balanced several smaller boards that were approximately 6 inches across by 1 foot long. The structure was suprisingly symmetrical and he constructed the whole thing without any help. He must really be learning a lot in preschool. HaHa! Elizabeth loves to help with household duties when she gets a chance. Kolbe usually takes care of all of the chores like trash, watering, putting away dishes, setting the table, etc, before she ever gets a chance. But lately she has started to think of things that need to be done first and is trying to help a lot more. She is getting very good at watering the few flowers we have and I am getting more confident letting her help set the table.
Grandpa D has been working really hard on our upstairs rooms and had been washing up his mudding tools. Immediately Libby was right under foot to help him clean them. Of course she DRENCHED herself but didn't seem to mind. She loves getting dirty.
Elizabeth is so expressive and full of spunk and personality. She is fun to have around! We can't wait until Dad gets home and really gets to know his sweet happy little girl.
